Sure, it feels great on your skin, and you can cook with it but what else can you do with coconut oil?

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Remove scratches from a refrigerator (not stainless steel). Rub some on a cloth and rub over the scratch.

  2. Step 2

Remove wood stain from walls. Apply liberally to a nail brush and scrub the stain. Wipe away with a paper towel now and then and continue until the stain is gone. It also removes scuffs and crayon from walls.

  3. Step 3

Remove scuff marks from wood floors but be careful. It can make the floor very slippery for a while.

  4. Step 4

Shine up your shoes. Hey, who really keeps shoe polish around? In a desperate situation, a TINY dab of this on a paper towel will bring a high sheen to any leather shoe.

  5. Step 5

Substitute it for other cooking oils. Virgin coconut oil is a healthier option that other cooking oils.

  6. Step 6

There's lots of beauty uses, too. it's a conditioning treatment and skin moisturizer. An added bonus is that you smell like the beach, even in winter.

on 11/15/2007 Thanks! My uncle-in-law (?) introduced me to this. He puts it in his hair after coming out of the ocean to keep it moist. Works wonderfully all summer long.
