Things You'll Need:
- Wrapping paper
- Tape
- Ribbon
- Scissors
- Felt
- Extras: bells, bows, etc.
-
Step 1
Use a toilet paper (or paper towel) roll! Insert your gift into the roll and wrap a piece of paper around it, making sure you've got at least a couple inches off each end. Gather each end together and wrap with a piece of ribbon and viola--you've got a present that looks like a piece of Christmas candy!
-
Step 2
From MarthaStewart.comBows and Bells: Wrap your present in the traditional manner. Add a strip of felt around the center, making sure some of the paper shows on each side. Tie a ribbon around and tie a bell on in the middle. This works well for small stocking stuffers. Craft stores like Michael's or Joanne Fabric actually sells felt with a sticker on one side. This works well as it stays in place while you tie on your ribbon.
-
Step 3
Never lose a card: Wrap your present in the traditional manner. Place your card on top of the present, then wrap the entire thing again in translucent paper. Add confetti if you want. The card (and confetti) will show through the translucent paper and you won't have to worry about the card getting attached to the wrong present!
-
Step 4
For an Old-Fashioned Look: Wrap a paper in a grocery bag. No, not the plastic kind--use a brown paper grocery bag but make sure you keep the name of the grocery store on the inside so the letters don't show. Wrap with a piece of twine. It's easy, simple and clean.
