Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- A plan
- An open mind
- Quiet time to talk
Step1
Start your plan for the room together. Try to find some colors that you both like for the walls, for example. Then, talk about what kinds of furiture you like. If you have something in common, make that part of your plan.
Step2
Find out what your husband's priorities are. Does he want comfort first, looks second? Accommodate his needs by, for example, finding comfy chairs and couches that looks nice, but also caters to his need for comfort.
Step3
Let him have his way sometimes. Sure, you may hate his collection of deer antlers or golf statues, but remember, these things are important to the man you love. At least try to respect that.

on 5/6/2008 If you want to go the "HONESTY IS THE BESTPOLICY" route. use your imagination and figure out a way it CAN work. Maybe paint it out. Trim it down. Turn it on its side.Take a picture of it, this way he can keep the memory, not the item...Repurpose it.I bet what ever it is, it has sentiemtal value. If its a dresser...use the knobs. If its ''sports memoribialia, frame it.''. Anything looks more important if it is framed. Try your best to accomadate his wants. He may return the favor and accomadate your NEEDS .lol...good luck. Dont fret, just, Think...Think...Think.

on 5/6/2008 MAYBE A LITTLE SINISTER BUT IT WILL WORK...MEN HATE THEIR HONEY DO LIST. OH YES THEY DO.THEY WILL CHANGE THEIR TUNE IF IT MEANS EXTRA WORK.ESPECIALLY IF THEY MADE THE EXTRA WORK FOR THEMSELVES. TELL THEM YOU LOVE THAT PIECE THEY DRAGGED IN, OR BROUGHT OUT BUT...TOO BAD WE HAVE TO REPAINT THE ENTIRE ROOM FOR IT TO WORK.LETS GO SHOPPING FOR A WALL COLOR. EVEN IF THE PAINT ISNT EVEN DRY FROM THE LAST TIME U PAINTED, BETTER YET. I QUARENTEE IT WONT LOOK AS GOOD TO HIM THEN.
