How to Do Less Cleaning in the Bathroom

Following these simple steps will mean less work for you when you clean your bathroom and give you more time for the important things in life!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
To virtually eliminate that hard to clean soap scum switch to a liquid body soap. Bar soap is the number one cause of soap scum. Since bar soap starts out in a solid form it will revert back once the water has evaporated from it. Soap residue mixed with body oils and dirt cause soap scum. Liquid soap will not turn into a solid.
Step2
If you use hair spray switch to an aerosol spray. Liquid hair spray sprayed from a pump bottle will dry like shellac on your sink, faucet, door, floor or anywhere it lands. The aerosol version is much finer and easier to clean off.
Step3
Drop a denture tablet in your toilet bowl every few days. Denture tablets will clean your toilet with no scrubbing and are safer for your septic system than commercial toilet tank tablets.
Step4
Use your exhaust fan when you shower or take a bath. The exhaust fan removes the moist air from the bathroom that causes mold to grow on your tiles, wall and ceiling. If the mold doesn't grow you won't have to clean it off. If you have no exhaust fan open the window a bit or leave the door open.
Step5
Quickly swipe off the sink and vanity whenever you are done using it. Toothpaste and spilled makeup are much easier to clean off when they are wet and you won't have to scrub.
