Spending Thanksgiving Day with the future in-laws could be a stressful situation. It doesn’t need to be, though. Here are some tips on how you can make a good impression on your future in-laws at Thanksgiving dinner.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Bring a snack or dessert to Thanksgiving dinner. Your future in-laws will be happy that you brought something that everybody can enjoin. They’ll be especially impressed if you keep it a secret that you’re bringing anything at all.

  2. Step 2

Bring a small present for your future in-laws. This is a great way to express your gratitude to your future in-laws for inviting you to Thanksgiving dinner. Besides, everybody loves to get a present.

  3. Step 3

Offer to help set the table. This will take some of the stress off of the people preparing Thanksgiving dinner. It will mean a lot to your future in-laws that you’re willing to help out.

  4. Step 4

Introduce yourself to all of your future in-laws’ relatives attending Thanksgiving dinner. This will save your future in-laws the time of having to introduce you to everybody. It will also impress them that you are interested in meeting your future family members.

  5. Step 5

Be extra thoughtful towards your fiancée on Thanksgiving Day. Be attentive during dinner and throughout the whole day. It will impress your future in-laws to see just how much you care about their daughter.

  6. Step 6

Offer to clean up the table once dinner is done. Once again it’s always nice to lend a helping hand on Thanksgiving Day.

  7. Step 7

Be sure to talk with all the guests. It’s important to be acquainted with all of your future family members. After Thanksgiving dinner is over spend some time with your fiancée chatting with everybody. Your future in-laws will be delighted.
