It’s Friday night, and you’ve just fought traffic to get home from work with barely enough time to shower and change before you have to head out the door again to that potluck party at your friend’s house. Who has time to bake anymore? If your busy schedule doesn’t allow you the hours you need to mix, pour, bake, and clean, a no-bake fruit trifle will be your delicious, time-saving secret to wowing your friends at the next potluck party.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1 store bought pound cake, thawed 1 carton of strawberries 1 carton blueberries 4-5 bananas 2 tubs of whipped cream 3 Heath bars 2 boxes vanilla pudding 1 large bowl

Step1
Following the instructions on the box, make the vanilla pudding and put it in the refrigerator to settle. Make sure to do this step first, so that the pudding doesn’t soak into the pound cake, making it too soggy.
Step2
Cut the pound cake into 1 inch by 1 inch cubes. Cut the strawberries into fourths (or halves, for small strawberries) and slice the bananas into small, bite-sized pieces.
Step3
Put the Heath bar into a plastic baggie. Cover the baggie with a dish towel and pound the candy bar with a wooden mallet until it’s broken up into pieces that you can sprinkle.
Step4
In a large, glass bowl, place a layer of the cubed pound cake on the bottom. Next, spoon some pudding over the pound cake. Add a layer of fruit, a layer of whipped cream, and start again with a layer of pound cake.
Step5
Once you have made enough layers to fill the bowl, add one last layer of whipped cream and decorate with the remaining fruits. Sprinkle chunks of heath bar over the top for extra sweetness.
