• Pick out a simplicity or easy pattern
• Fabric a beautiful color
• Thread that matches well
• Scissors
• Pins

How to make a dress for a five year old

1. Read the patterns and the instructions well
   Make your selection of which dress you desire to make

2. Lay out the fabric and place the pattern over it.
   Then pin the pattern to the fabric.
   Be very sure you pin the dress inside out. Do everthing inside out

3. Thread the sewing machine and the sew the dress inside out sew along the edges of the dress and then take the pins out as you go along.

4. Then sew the neck part of the dress and the arm parts pin then sew.then sew the hem nice and even. If possible get the child to try it on. Your job will be much easier. You may need to sew a hook and eye. Or add a zipper just pin it down and sew it on side of zipper and then the other.

Tips & Warnings

• My dresses turn out well and the little one is still excited. The more you practice the better you are. Go for it you can do it. Make sure the material is washable.
