Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2 medium organic onions
  • 1 organic carrot
  • 1-2 tbs of sea salt
  • 2 cups of organic navy beans
  • 4 quarts of water
Step1
Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add beans, let them cook for 3 minutes. Turn off the stove.
Step2
Let the beans soak for 1 hour. Drain the beans, and set aside.
Step3
Add Olive oil in a pot. Sauté onions and carrots until golden brown. Add salt, Beans and Water. Bring it to a boil.
Step4
Cook for 2 hours on low to medium heat, stirring it once in a while.
Step5
Remove from the stove. Let it cool down for a while. Serve with a rustic piece of bread.

Tips & Warnings

  • You may also add a piece of smoked ham shank for that smoky flavor, or a chilly pepper for a spicy meal.
