Facials are the ultimate spa luxury for your skin. Professional treatments can be pricey and difficult to fit into a hectic schedule, so why not try one at home?

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Facial Cleanser
  • Exfoliating Scrub
  • Wash cloth
  • Facial Mask
  • Moisturiser

Step1
Find a quiet half-hour where you're unlikely to be disturbed in the bathroom.
Step2
Cleanse your face of oils and dirt with a facial cleanser.
Step3
Using an exfoliating scrub, remove any dead skin and impurities from your face. Move your fingers in a gentle circular motion. Pay special attention to oilier areas of the face, such as the forehead and nose. Rinse thoroughly.
Step4
To open clogged pores, steam your skin. Fill a sink with medium-hot water. Soak a washcloth in the water and bring to your face for 30 seconds. Repeat 3 times.
Step5
Apply a mask to draw out impurities from beneath the skin. For oily skin, use a clay-based mask. A hydrating cream-based mask will rejuvenate drier skin. Follow instructions as indicated on the mask for how long to leave it on.
Step6
Apply a moisturising lotion to your skin.
