if you want to improve you have to know what level your on how you do that is you need to play people on all different levels play to about 7-10 games with each person to see how many games you will win and lose if you play and you win all 10 games then you know that you are way better than this guy but if you lose all of them then you know your not as good as this guy yet
Step2
you can ask pool players for some tips some can be helpful but others are not also so people dont like sharing there infomation so watch out on that you can get good infomation by reading a book on pool one of my favorites is A MIND FOR POOL BY PHILIP B CAPELLE it teaches alot that a lot of pool books dont there are no pics in this book you could always get a privte teacher but that can cost some money right why yes but if you want to speed up your game fast and get the right infomation go to one your money would be worth it
Step3
also you sould practice practice practice i cant say this enough the more you do the better you understand but when you practice you have to really pay attention to what your doing say you miss a shot you should ask yourself why and study why you did by doing something wrong teaches you how not to do it again and again you will finally know not to do that in you mind becase you have learned what it will do all of this stuff im trying to teach you might not work right then and there but over time it will your see
