Instructions

    • 1

Decide what special effect you want for your website. Would you like to add a calculator, a calendar, animation?

    • 2

Do a search online for your special effect. Add the word JavaScript to the search.

    • 3

After you have found the code, copy it, and then go to your website, and if you have Internet Explorer, click on view, then source. Paste it where the website with the special effect told you to--most likely in the code between the two body tags. Save the changes in the notepad window which opened when you clicked view and then refresh the webpage that has your website. Your change should now be active.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the special effects don't work on your website, try the process again.

  • If the effects still don't work, get code from a different site.

  • The code you paste may list where you got the special effects on your site.
