Here's an easy way to make fresh squeezed lemonade and also a sugar-free alternative.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 6-12 lemons (depending on size, your goal is 1/2 pint lemon juice)
  • 1/2 pint sugar
  • 1/2 pint hot water
  • 3 pints of cold water
  • knife
  • juicer
  • pitcher
  • stir spoon
  • (optional- an orange)
Step1
Mix the hot water and sugar. Stir until the sugar has dissolved to make a simple syrup.
Step2
Cut each lemon in half and squeeze in the juicer until you have collected 1/2 pint of fresh squeezed lemon juice.
Step3
Mix the simple syrup, lemon juice and cold water. Stir. Add ice. Enjoy.
Step4
** For a refreshing, sugar-free alternative:
Skip the simple syrup step and slice the lemons into rings. Let the lemons marinate in a pitcher of water for a pretty presentation and a tasty flavor. Add orange rings as well to make your own fruit-water.
