Many people like to complain about this and that and how their life doesn't go well. You may find that they are not happy even if they have their own good lifestyle and good social status. The problem is that they don't pay attention how other people live in this world and how they survive. The best way to feel your own happiness is to realize that there is nothing better than human love.

Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • Defeating your own dark side about pursuit personal pleasures
Step1
Start looking the world around you: this is not the same peaceful, happy, satisfied world, full with carefree entertainment and laughter. There are many people, suffering from some loss of close people or some disaster casualties. There are many people who wants at least to find some understanding and appreciation. This person might be you tomorrow.
Step2
Start talking more with the people around you, not only the people you know. Talk to the cashier at the store when you are making your purchases. When you are waiting in a line talk with the person standing next to you. People like to talk and you can learn something.
Step3
Keep the child inside you. Don't chase your kid's nature away. Remember how you were looking this world when you were a kid. Start talking with kids and enjoy their pure and cheerful point of view. You may refresh your children's enthusiasm. You may teach them something nice.
Step4
Be grateful for every little thing you have achieved and you have in your life. Show gratitude to God, to all the people who helped you to get to this point of your life. We can not get any further without the people around who helps us. It might not be material help: the most important thing is someone's spiritual support. Think where you would be if your parents/husband/wife/friends/coworkers were not helpful and supportive in a spiritual way.
Step5
Do something nice for somebody you hardly knew: it might be the beggar on the street or a person in need. It doesn't matter if you will meet this person again. You will be surprised how happy you will feel when you somehow help this person.
Step6
Everything starts with you: forgive yourself about anything what happened so far. Forgive anybody who harmed you with or without some intentions and forget. Go on with pure heart and light thoughts. Just take the lesson not letting you any other person harm you. Smile and go on helping other people find their best nature.
Step7
Always start your day with gratitude to what you have and what you achieved in this world. It is great that you are in good health and still alive in the world nowadays.
Step8
Go to Church now and then. You don't have to be a regular worshipper. What matters is to feed your inspiration about life and joy.

  • This is not a promise to success: you succeed only if you work hard and look further. This is a way of making your life happier.

on 11/20/2007 Wow, what a great article, everything you said is so true for being a happier person. Another thing to help stop being negative, is to tie a piece of yarn around your wrist to remind you not to complain about ANYTHING for 2 weeks! It takes 2 weeks to break a habbit. Not complaining will help you have more gratitude by focusing on the positive rather the negative.
