Step1
Materials Needed:
-A tube or jar of aloe vera gel (not juice, unless you want to make serum).
-Vitamin E (natural d-alpha Tocopherol).
-Grapefruit Complex Liquid (a natural preservative).
-Grape seed Extract Oil; Jojoba Oil, and/or Olive Oil.
-Herbs can be added by steeping the herb for ten minutes; straining, and then adding some of the tea solution made from the herbs.
Use sparingly as too much will liquefy the solution.
-High Quality Essential Oils, such as Lavender, Rosemary, or Chamomile.
-A mini food processor will work just fine!
-A small spoon for blending.
-Containers for storage, and labels to identify the ingredients.
Step2
Blending: add the aloe vera gel, vitamin E, and grapefruit liquid complex into the processing container. Add the desired amount of essential oils; blend to desired scent. Add a small amount of liquid from herbs or juiced cucumber if you choose. Once all the ingredients are in the container, begin blending. Continuing to blend until the product begins to emulsify. Once it is changing over to a creamy solutions, stop the processor and stir gently to ensure it is mixed from top to bottom. Continue blending and repeat the stirring process once or twice.
Step3
Packaging and Storing: once your gel has been blended into a creamy solution, spoon it into clean containers, with lids that tighten. Label the container and date so you will remember the ingredients use for future products made. Store in the refrigerator, but avoid freezing so as not to change the consistency of the product. Use as a night cream or mask. Apply the mask generously, allow to sit for about fifteen minutes and rinse with cold water. For day use, use as a mosturizer follow up with favorite foundation and blush, or wear alone for skin protection.

on 7/22/2008 CLARISSA, I plan on making the facial cream, but would like a little help on the quantities for all the ingredients. I'm not familiar with anything like this that can be made at home so I don't know how much of some of the ingredients to use. thanks, Kristin
