How to avoid cleaning

How to avoid spending hours on your day off cleaning the house.

Things You’ll Need:

• a catch-all basket for every room.
• one microfiber cloth stored on each floor of your home.
• one magic eraser cleaning pad stored in each bathroom.
• one small container of window cleaner on each floor of your house.
• one cleaning materials basket on each floor of your house with the above cleaning supplies in it.

1. 1. Put articles usually dropped on the floor into the catch-all basket in each room. It should be easy to reach but out of the flow of traffic.
2. 2. Never travel from room to room empty handed. Check the catch-all basket for items they can be put away on the journey. This means no extra steps or time out of your day.
3. 3. Each time you shower or bathe leave the exhaust fan off for a short time. Take a moment to wipe down the shower or bath while the surfaces are still damp. Use windex on faucets, handles, mirrors to create a shine. This step should take only 10 or 15 minutes and keeps the bathroom inviting.

• Areas that really make a home feel orderly are the first room viewed when you enter the home, the bathrooms and the kitchen. To create a sense of calm when you have little or no time, sweep through and drop clutter into the catch-all basket. Make sure the basket is easily accessible so you can quickly grab an article on your journey through the house.
