The French Martini, a surprisingly simple cocktail made with just three ingredients, combines the frivolity of raspberry and pineapple flavors with elegantly subtle vodka, culminating in a pink and fruity drink. Things You'll Need

  • Martini glass
  • Ice
  • Soda water
  • Martini shaker with lid
  • Strainer
  • Vodka
  • Raspberry liqueur
  • Pineapple juice
  • Lemon twist

Instructions

      Chill the martini glass by filling it with equal parts ice and soda water.

      Fill the martini shaker with 1 cup ice, 1 1/2 oz. vodka, 1 1/2 oz. pineapple juice and 1/2 oz. raspberry liqueur.

      Seal the shaker and shake until the tin begins to grow icy - about 15 to 20 seconds.

      Empty the ice and soda water from the martini glass, then strain in the drink.

      Garnish with a lemon twist.

Tips & Warnings

  • Mix up the martini by substituting a flavored vodka - like lemon, orange or even vanilla.

  • Try garnishing the drink with raspberries on a cocktail spear when the berries are in season.
