How to Recycle MISC Items

You know that there are different places that you can go to recycle plastics, papers, metals, and other common recyclable items. What about the items that don't fit into these categories though? Instead of throwing out junk first ask someone you know if they want it, and if that doesn't work then there are the three R's to go by. Reduce, recycle, reuse.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Don't want a pair of old jeans anymore? Get out your sewing machine and turn the fabric into a purse or cut squares and different shapes out of the jean material to create pieces to a quilt.
Step2
Have some old CD's that you don't want anymore? Do you have a candle hanging around somewhere? Place a CD on a table or wherever you want with it's shiny side up and then place a candle on top of it in the center of it.
Step3
Turn old material scraps into pieces for a quilt.
Step4
Getting ready to throw away the peelings from fruits and or vegetables? Place them outside in your backyard for small animals like birds. It may or may not work depending on what the birds and other small animals like where you are, but it's well worth a try.
Step5
Turn an old bookcase into a display case for movies or figurines. Think of it as a huge shadow box.
Step6
Just about anything that you are prepared to throw away can be reused in some shape or form, even if it is just part of the item that you want to throw away. Don't forget, before throwing out what seems to be junk to you ask someone you know if they want it. Someone's trash is always someone's treasure.
