Want something different to take to the bake sale or put out on your holiday table? These cookies are slightly tangy, slightly sweet. The orange color makes them noticeable while the vanilla chips make them delectable. Best of all? They're extremely easy to make. Just mix and drop by spoonsfuls onto the baking sheet.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¾ cup butter (room temperature)
  • ½ cup Tang (or other orange flavored drink)
  • 1 ¾ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups ivory baking chips (can be white chocolate or vanilla flavored)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Cream the butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl using the paddle attachment. Mix until light and fluffy, approximately five minutes.

  3. Step 3

Add the eggs one at a time, incorporating well each time.

  4. Step 4

    Add the vanilla extract.

  5. Step 5

In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients (Tang, flour, baking soda, baking powder). Incorporate together using a wire wisk. Gradually add to the butter ingredients, mixing on a low speed. Mix until just combined.

  6. Step 6

Slowly pour in baking chips, keeping mixer on a slow speed. Mix until just combined. (Do not over mix.)

  7. Step 7

Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Place two inches apart. Bake for 13-15 minutes, until just lightly browned. Cool for five minutes on the cookie sheet, then move cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
