You've seen the houses where teenagers played tricks on people on Halloween night. The whole front of their house and trees are covered in toilet paper. Toilet papering a house or someone's front yard trees is a popular college prank. With a few rolls of strong toilet paper and a good throwing arm, you can decorate the house or yard of your choosing in an elaborate white web. Since it's pretty hard to remove, you might want to think twice before actually accomplishing this trick on someone.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Several rolls of strong toilet paper (one-ply recommended)

How to Toilet Paper a House

Step1
Time your prank for when the people in the house are not at home. Middle of the night is best because otherwise you'll have neighbors watching.
Step2
Take out your toilet paper, loosen from the roll and unroll about two arms lengths.
Step3
Look up for a tree limb or awning that you can hang the paper from.
Step4
Hold the toilet paper roll with the loose paper end against your palm. The loose paper should be hanging down to the ground. Heave the paper roll up at the tree limb, flicking it underhanded so that it unrolls more as it goes up and around your limb. It should fall back to the ground, leaving a loop through the tree limb.
Step5
Continue with Steps 2, 3 and 4 until the house and yard are covered with loops of white.

Tips & Warnings

  • Bring a friend and extra toilet paper so that the job goes more quickly, with less chance of being discovered.
  • Obviously, the police, the papering victim, and the neighborhood will frown on this activity. Be careful, and decide if this prank is worth the consequences if you get caught.
