Removing old concrete sealer is important for further problems one may encounter in the swimming pool, creating a dirty, or old appearance and various issues such as rotting.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • putty knife or another similar tool
  • heat gun in case the old caulk needs to be softened
  1. Step 1

    Clean the edging where the concrete appears, removing dirt and other debris.

  2. Step 2

    Using the putty knife, remove the caulking that is surrounding the pool.

  3. Step 3

    If removal is hard, try using the heat gun to soften the old caulk and concrete.
