It's great if your children start to plan and set what goals to achieve and you as a parent play an important role in leading and helping your children to achieve their goals. Parents need to allow children to choose their own goals. But they can help their children by giving opinion or suggestion and leading them toward.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Give them control:

Teach your children choose their own goals. Personal choice and retaining control is important for children. As a parent, you are playing a role as an adviser, giving them ideas and suggestion. But in the end, the goal needs to be their own. They get motivated if they generated their own generated idea.
Step2
Setting a time frame:

Setting a goal to be achieved must be logical. Set an achievable goal in a reasonable time period. Make it step by step. Don’t rush with it, if you keep on urging your child, the result might be negative. Forget about the big goal if you have not achieved any of the basic terms.

Goals can be simple and easy to achieve. Some example may be :

1.) Being able to finish your homework before you sleep or

2.) Write an essay not more than 2 hours.
Step3
Write the goals down and start to implement it:

You can teach your children to write their goals in a piece of white paper and ask them write down all the possible following steps in realizing their goals. Then put the paper wherever they notice it, paste it on the writing table, hang it on the wall in their room, or even stick on the back door of the toilet.
Step4
Build their confidence and help them out:

Giving encouragement and support to your kids and build their confidence in achieving their goals. Courage them by saying:” You can do it! You can do it!” Your encouragement will build their spirit.
Step5
Revisit and reset:

After your children have achieved their goals, don't let their passion gone. Keep their momentum going!

Ask them what they have learned and how they can perform better. Use the momentum to set new goals.
