Scrapbooking is a great way to make a story by using photos and anything else that might be of meaning to you. Scrapbooks can be shared forever and show a different way of displaying your work. Here I will show you how to make a scrapbook out of things that have meaning to you and add designs to give your book that special flair.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • dedication
  • a scrapbook(can be found at crafts store and large dept. stores) or a photo album works just as well.
  • items you want to add to your scrapbook.
  • a large enough space where you can work on
  • scissors
  • ziplock bags or anything to keep your pieces of paper so they don't get lost
  • add ons like glitter, ribbons, pieces of fabric, stickers,

Step1
Gather the items you want to put in your scrapbook. For example you have several drawings and writing that you want to add to the scrapbook. Some are better than others and you want to display those. You can cut them to the size so that they fit into your scrapbook page and display the better ones first
Step2
Next gather any fabric(this could be a piece of a shirt you wore)stickers, glitter, ribbons that you may want to add to the page and consider how you want to display it. If you have a great essay that you wrote and the essay is about dinosaurs you can cut up pictures of dinosaurs and place them all around the essay almost like a border or you can use dinosaur stickers instead.
Step3
The idea is to make meaning of your pieces of paper. A great thing about scrap booking is that you can place your items in any order you wish and no one can tell you that is wrong. You can place your work sideways with ribbons attached to the edge or put two pieces of paper if they are small enough point by point to make it look a little different
Step4
You can also add photos of the person that wrote, or drew the work if you want and add caption stickers like great job or that's awesome. You can even make the captions yourself by grabbing old magazines and cutting out the letters to spell out what you want.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you have little ones maybe you can make it family time and have them help you put the items in the scrapbook.
  • Make sure to keep all small items and scissors away from small children. Consider getting a small trunk to keep your scrapbooks and fabrics, stickers, etc.
