How to Make a Dollhouse From a Notebook

Little girls love to play with paper-dolls. But what is a doll without a dollhouse? A notebook and some art supplies (and a dash of imagination) can effectively solve that problem.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Take a notebook and glue the four corners of two pages together.
Step2
Start with drawing or pasting pictures of the front door and windows. Make the setting as fancy or as basic as you like.
Step3
Cut out the door so that it opens. Make sure you are cutting only the front page, not the second page. Do the same for the windows.
Step4
Paste or draw different views or objects into that open door and windows. You will be drawing on the attached second page. These openings are great for placing the doll within them, while the attached second page acts as a wall to hold and support the paper doll.
Step5
Continue to paste two pages together and creating the rest of the house.
Make as many rooms as you would like. Keep on cutting open the doors, drawers, bedspreads, bathtubs and cabinets. Do the same for the refrigerator and the stove.
Step6
Place pictures of food and other objects into the cabinets and any other areas that open.
Step7
When you are done with the house, why not create a playground for the paper doll? Draw or paste the environment and make cuts into which you can insert your doll.
Step8
Enjoy your paper dollhouse at a very reasonable price!

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure your notebook is big enough to accomodate the paper doll.
