Competing in a beauty pageant is a vehicle to achieving your dreams. Many won’t understand why you are competing. They might even express that you are crazy. But this reaction should not let you down. The only one who has the courage, desire and dream to become a beauty queen is you.

    View you participation as a way to personal development, a way to gain valuable skills and become more successful. Pageants also provide an excellent way to develop communication skills for future careers, to learn how to think on your feet, to gain confidence and to talk with people from all walks of life.

  2. Step 2
    During rehearsals.

    Concentrate on your participation and put all of your senses into what you are doing. Don’t waste your time on thoughts that aren’t important, things that cause you distraction or negative energies. There will be plenty of time for other activities after the pageant.

  3. Step 3

    Focus on showing yourself what can be achieved through determination. Be proud of your participation and tell others of it, entering a beauty pageant requires determination and guts, plus its a great accomplishment.

    Exercise. This activity gives you endorphins which make for happier feelings, plus you'll want to look your best for the competition. Don’t smoke or drink. These activities are not healthy for you and are illegal if you are a Teen.

Tips & Warnings
  • A beauty queen not only is a positive person, but she also believes in herself. She is the type of person that gives off positive energy. Do believe in yourself.
  • If you have any doubts about the pageant, consult the pageant staff.
  • Comply with all pageant requisites in a timely manner, this way you won’t waste time worrying about being on time.
  • Most pageants have requirements such as age and civil status. For most Miss division pageants, women must be single and between the ages of 18-27 for most Teen division pageants, women must be between the ages of 18-27.
