Are you a talented interior designer or would-be interior designer and want to be noticed? How about taking on the challenge of competing on Home and Garden Television's design-based reality show, "Design Star?" The producers are looking for Season 3 contestants and the timing couldn't be better. Entries must be postmarked by Nov. 30th.

Step1

Go to the Home and Garden Television website, www.hgtv.com. Click on "Be On HGTV" at the top of the home page, which will take you to a list of opportunities to be featured on their programs. Rules for auditioning for "Design Star" is at the top of the list.

Step2

Before officially applying to be on the show, read the Official Rules and Eligibility Requirements. This is an important step, since the rules occasionally disqualify or dissuade individuals from applying. For example, any reality show of this type will require your presence away from home for weeks and sometimes months.

Step3

Download the written application from the HGTV website, fill it out, and then make a 5-minute, non-professional VHS videotape, DVD, or Digital Video explaining why you should have your own HGTV series and demonstrating how you design and decorate.

Step4

Assemble the other items required as part of your application: a signed release and waiver that you must download from the website, two recent photographs of yourself, and three samples of your design work, either in the form of copies from your portfolio or printouts from your website,if you have one. You must also submit a clear photocopy of either your U.S. passport, a driver's license, or your social security card together with your birth certificate.

Send your completed application and all related materials no later than Nov. 30, 2007 to:
