Every Valentine's Day, Loveland Ski Area in Colorado features their Marry Me and Ski for Free Mountain Matrimony event. What better way to celebrate a romance between two skiing or snowboarding enthusiasts?

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • ski or snowboarding equipment
  • Someone to marry
  • Plane and hotel reservations in Colorado
  • Wedding guests (optional)
  1. Step 1

Go to www.skiloveland.com and register before February 12th. One member of the happy couple will receive a free lift ticket. Get your marriage license before the ceremony.

  2. Step 2

If you are from sea level, arrive in Colorado a few days early. You don't want to have altitude sickness on your wedding day!

  3. Step 3

Invite your friends. There is a party at the lodge after the ceremony.

  4. Step 4

Arrive at Chair Two before 12:00. The ceremony is performed promptly at noon, at the top of Chair Two.

  5. Step 5

After the ceremony, ski down to the lodge and enjoy the party.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wear warm clothes.
  • If you are from sea level, avoid alcoholic drinks for a few days prior to the ceremony. One alcoholic drink at altitude equals about three at sea level!
