Instructions

    • 1

Examine the wheels that come with your kit. These prefabricated wheels may have poorly cut plastic edges that can slow down your car. If there are any burrs or rough edges, use the emery board to smooth them off.

    • 2

Apply a thin coat of graphite to the wheels to lubricate them.

    • 3

Polish the axles with the emery board and and apply a thin coat of graphite or lubricant to them as well.

    • 4

Place the wheels on the axle and check for clearance. If the wheels are rubbing against the side of the car, remove the axle and cut a small wheel well into your car's body to prevent this resistance.

Tips & Warnings

  • You must use the wheels that came with your kit.

  • Take graphite with you to the race and apply an extra coat just before the races start.

  • Make sure that you rub the graphite into all surfaces; graphite can come off easily, but if it is worked into the materials it will last through several heats.
