How to Do a Torso Stretch

The torso stretch is one of many exercises that can be done to help correct poor posture and relieve pressure on the spine.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Lay down on your back with your knees bent upward.

  2. Step 2

    Stretch your arms out to your sides, leveling them with your shoulders. Turn your palms upward.

  3. Step 3

    Lower both of your knees to the left and turn your head to the right in the opposite direction. Hold this position for fifteen seconds.

  4. Step 4

    Start this exercise over and follow the same steps as you did before, except this time lower your knees to the right and turn your head to the left.

Tips & Warnings
  • Never ever strain yourself when exercising. Only do as much as you can handle.
