This short how to will show you how to set the internet options in Firefox

Step1
Open a Firefox page. Click on the Tools Drop Down menu at the bottom of the menu chose Options. A new Dialog will open. You will see a row of Icons at the top of the new dialog.
Step2
The Main Icon. Clicking on this icon gives you the options for Start-up, download and system defaults. Use this tab to chose your home page, set how downloads from the internet are handled and whether or not Firefox is your default browser.
Step3
The Tabs Icon. Clicking on this option will display the way Firefox handles opening new windows from links within an already displayed page. Right clicking a link also gives you these options and several more. But if you want Firefox to display new windows in one particular way all the time, setting this option is very helpful.
Step4
The Content Icon. This option displays the different ways content is displayed and utilized within a Firefox page. You can set the Pop-up Blocker, or exceptions to the Pop-up Blocker, Java controls, and Enabling Java. The next section allows the user to change font style and size, as well as font color. Finally you can change what action Firefox will take for opening particular types of files (i.e., .pdf or .jpg).

Feeds Icon. In this dialog you can chose how Really Simple Syndication is handled. Chose an application to run the RSS Feed. Most times this can be left at Live Bookmarks.

Privacy Icon. This tab will offer you choices on how Firefox stores information about you and outside websites, as well as keeping a running list of places you have visited. You can set History, which is the pages you have viewed before. Cookies, which are small files with pre-determined information and also information you have given to websites. And how private data is handled. You can clear your private data and delete cookies from the appropriate buttons shown.

Security Icon. The security dialog allows you to check what sites Firefox thinks are forgeries, and what sites are safe. You can have Firefox remember passwords and password options. And finally how Firefox warns you if the page type is suspect or good.

Advanced Icon. The advanced options let you change how Firefox behaves when in use, and also language and spelling.
