Super shot game (try ESPN Zone, Dave & Busters, Chuck E. Cheese's, or Busby's Santa Monica)
Quarters
Game face
Step1
Show up to venue. Make sure you bring game face and quarters. Stretch.
Step2
Take a sip of your beer.
Step3
Hit the "CONTINUOUS" button to select "CONTINUOUS" mode (NOT Classic. Classic is for wusses and it doesn't count).
Step4
As soon as the buzzer sounds, assume "crouching tiger hidden dragon" sition and start grabbing balls. Do NOT look down. Keep your eye on the hoop AT ALL TIMES and keep grabbing and throwing balls.
Step5
No one cares about your form. If you worry about form, you'll score a 16. Sure you'll shot-ratio may be 99%, but last time I checked, Super Shot reported total points, not total shots.
Step6
Trash talk your competition. Even if you lose. Its the spirit of the game, damnit.
Tips & Warnings
Classic doesn't count
Don't worry about your form
Sweatbands optional
A good score is 40, a great score is 60, and 80 is godlike status. (100 is only achievable, but only on "Classic" and it doesn't count).
More beer equals a better game to a point. Its definitely a bell curve, and you should figure out your optimum drunkeness and stay there.
Keep going no matter what. I don't care if someone is talking trash or even if Chuck E.'s on fire.

Thanks for sharing this article. It brought back some great memeories of knock-down, drag-out competitions with my college buddies. I really like the way you describe the intense focus that is necessary.

on 11/9/2007 I love when the basket goes all the way back and you just got on a hot streak and start draining threes, it just kills the competition.
