How to remove stains from a non-porous counter top

I have removed wine, koolaid, food stains, etc. from my counter top using this simple, inexpensive product. I've also used it to clean stains off a rubber mat.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • baking soda/peroxide toothpaste, any brand will do.
  • a damp cloth or sponge to apply toothpaste
  • a damp cloth to wipe up and remove toothpaste
Step1
Dampen the counter top a little with the damp cloth/sponge. Apply the toothpaste to the damp cloth/sponge and wipe the counter top in small, circular motions, applying more pressure over the stain.
Step2
You won't have to let it set, so you can immediately clean the toothpaste off with the second damp cloth.
Step3
Continue to wipe off counter until the grit is gone,it may take a couple of times to rinse out your cloth and wipe over again.

Tips & Warnings

  • The toothpaste will brighten up your counter top, so you may want to do the whole counter.
  • Usually one application is needed, but you may need to apply second time for very stubborn stains, with a little more pressure.
