Things You'll Need:
- iPod, text editor (i.e. Notepad)

Step 1
Open up iTunes on your computer and connect the iPod to the computer.

When the iPod's name and icon appears under "Devices" on the left side of the screen, click on the icon. This will open up a detail screen for the iPod.

Click on the "Summary" tab at the top and then look under "Options." Ensure that "Enable Disk Use" is checked and click the "Apply" button at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Open up the text editor and write your note or list. Name the file and save it.

Click on "Start" and then "My Computer". Look for your iPod under "Devices" and click on the icon. This will open a window which contains a folder called "Notes".

Drag the text file to the "Notes" folder.

Step 7
Eject the iPod and click on "Extras" on the first iPod menu. Click on "Notes" and you should see your text file. Highlight the name of the file and press the center of the click wheel.
