Things You'll Need:
- To Be Dateable
- A Mobile Phone
- A little bit of Game
-
Step 1
Look good on the plane! Don't fly in pajamas. Dress well, be clean shaven/or have makeup on (depending on your gender.) If you look/smell like a slob you will be eating at the Ramada alone tonight---guaranteed.
-
Step 2
Once it's safe to move about the cabin, do a nonchalant lap around the plane to find prospects. If no passengers make your cut, discreetly check out the crew. Eventually, there will be someone worthy of at least having a drink with!
-
Step 3
If you find a passenger prospect**, figure out a way to strike up conversation. If they are near the galley, maybe ask them to hold something while you get a drink---then offer them a drink! You're in! Closer to your seat? Ask if you can see their In-Flight magazine or if there headphones aren't working. Be natural and friendly...it'll go from there. ** Make sure that your prospect is indeed flying solo and appears single.
-
Step 4
Be safe when you ask them out. You don't know this guy and you want him to meet you for a drink--- a bold move but you can do it! Ask him to meet you at a restaurant or bar near your hotel, and make sure someone knows where you are going to be. Give him your cell phone number, but don't ask for his. He may just be polite and say yes, but if he really wants to meet you, he'll call.
-
Step 5
If you decide to hit on a crew member, be extremely discreet and polite. If you sense that she or he isn't interested, back off immediately to avoid trouble with the FAA.
-
Step 6
If all else fails, or if this seems like too much work, try the online dating service for travelers called AirTroductions. Register your information and get a date the old fashioned way: through the internet.
