This sounds lovely and no movie would even be necessary. That's also is the first time I've heard of the "smitten mitten". Every try to conjugate the verb "to smite"? I haven't either.
I suspect the the male version of this article would be a lot different, starting with turning the heat down instead of opening the window ;)
