Want your silver to sparkle and shine like new again?

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Cake Pan
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Salt
  • Cold Water
  1. Step 1

Gather the things you need as well as your tarnished silver into the kitchen. Preferably near the sink. If the sink is full of dirty dishes please do em up so you will have room to work.

  2. Step 2

Set your Cake pan down in the sink and line the bottom with a sheet of aluminum foil.

  3. Step 3

Fill the pan up a little over half way with cold water. (enough to cover one layer of your silver) Add a couple tablespoons of salt into the water in your pan.

  4. Step 4

Lay your silver flat on top of the foil. If you have a lot just do one layer at a time. Leave the pieces to sit in the water on top of the foil for about 5 minutes.

  5. Step 5

When you come back simply lift the pieces under running water and rinse the tarnish away. Simple as that and your silver looks as shiny as the day you bought it.

on 10/30/2009 I would recommend that the cake pan be glass or plastic. Metal ones don't give as good a result.
