How to Remove Lipstick Marks From Suede

Lipstick can enhance natural beauty, but there's nothing pretty about staining your favorite clothes with cosmetics. Use this stain removal tip to make lipstick stains a thing of the past on your favorite suede items.

1. Step One of this process is to remove excess lipstick using a dull tool to gently lift off excess solid or caked-on stains. Such as a metal nail file.
2. Step Two is to wipe stain with a cloth dipped in the suds of a mild detergent and water.
3. Step Three wipe with a clean dry cloth, use a white linen free cloth.

Tips & Warnings

• If a grease stain remains, powder the stain with cornmeal. Give it plenty of time to work. Gently brush it out with a soft toothbrush. Repeat if necessary. As a last resort, dip a cloth in Afta spot remover wipes and dab gently at the stain, but be careful not to rub.
