Almost everyone knows that wearing a condom is about 95% effective in protecting against STD’s and pregnancy. However, many people don’t know the proper way to put on a condom and that greatly reduces its effectiveness. Condoms when properly applied are about 95% effective in making safe sex truly safe.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A medium sized banana
  • a condom
Step1
Take the condom and choose the side you want to tear to open it. Before you tear it open, press the condom down away from the side you are going to tear. This is to ensure that the condom isn’t accidentally torn while the condom is being opened.
Step2
Pull the condom out of the package carefully and make sure you aren’t putting it on the wrong side. Roll it down slightly for verification.
Step3
Hold the banana upright and place the condom on the tip of the banana. While holding the tip of the condom to keep it from going onto the banana, slide the condom slowly down the banana.
Step4
Once the condom is on the banana, make sure that the tip of the condom isn’t completely on the banana. You want to leave some room in the tip of the condom to prevent breakage during use.
Step5
Remember these steps when the time comes and you are in a real situation that requires the use of a condom. Then make sure to actually follow them.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never open a condom with your teeth. It may look sexy or seem fitting in the moment but you can do a lot of damage to the condom that way and make it almost pointless to use.
