How to Make Candy Cane Fudge for Christmas

You need not wait for Christmas to enjoy this delicious fudge all year 'round! This does make a wonderful candy to take to a party, serve at home, or give as a gift!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 - 2/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons mint extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon red food coloring

Step1
Pan In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the sugar, salt, evaporated milk, and butter, and stir until the sugar melts. Bring the mixture to a boil and boil, stirring constantly, for five minutes.
Step2
Mini Marshmallows After five minutes, remove from the heat and stir in the marshmallows, white chocolate chips, and mint extract.
Step3
Pour it into an 8x8 pan that has been lined with aluminum foil or sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
Step4
Sprinkle drops of red food coloring over the top, and stir once or twice, creating red swirls. Do not overstir, otherwise the candy will turn pink. Place in the refrigerator to set the fudge for at least one hour.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not overstir, or fudge will turn pink.
