Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
For Halloween, make sure you only get enough candy to give it all away. Set the candy by the door, not by your chair. If you have children, put their haul in special brown bags with the kids names so that you think twice before getting into their candy. You can't see what is in there either. Be sure to follow the rules for checking their treasure. Safety first.
Step2
If you are going to have a get together for Thanksgiving, plan ahead. If it's not at your house, it can get tough but you can let the others know that you would like help on your food plan. This year, my sisters and I decided that dessert is something none of us need at our age so we didn't ask anyone to bring that. When you fill your plate, be thinking about those points or if the food is on Core. Choose the vegetables and limit the serving sizes. Fill 1/2 of your plate with vegetables then small doses of the other goodies.
If you have the Thanksgiving dinner at your place, you have the option of how you fix the food and what other people can bring. Talk to your WW leader and other members for more tips for this holiday.
Step3
Christmas is much like Thanksgiving. You can let it get out of hand or not.
