Step 1
Antique wall clocks go with almost any décor. An antique wall clock could hang over a modern brick fireplace and not look out of place. It could hang above a computer and still maintain its elegance. However, the placement of an antique wall clock is important. It would not look right it an antique wall clock hung three quarters to one side of a fireplace, instead of the middle.

Step 2
Having contemporary furniture and antique wall clocks together is like hanging an antique wall clock above the computer. That would be an interesting statement. The computer represents the advent of new era, one born of the twenty-first century, whereas the antique wall clock symbolizes the era of yesteryear. Having two opposing epochs that radically transformed society in a household is appealing.

Step 3
An antique wall clock may have numerical numbers on its face, or it may have roman numerals. The distinction may appear to go unnoticed, but if you probe, it takes us to a truth. Today’s generation do not understand roman numerals. Some kids do not know how to tell time unless it is digitally based. The school system should incorporate the use of roman numerals in their curriculum so future generations can be able to tell time. Again, it comes down to the old and the new. The older generation was taught to read a clock whether it had numbers or roman numerals. The current generation is not taught that, so a new phase should rear its ugly head in another generation or two.

Step 4
Semantics aside, the antique wall clock comes in a variety of shapes. One of the most popular shapes is the grandfather clock. Antique wall clocks can look like the shortened version of them. In almost every advertisement you come across, when the antique wall clocks are displayed, there are an abundance of grandfather styles.
Antique wall clocks are unique in their appearance and of their ability to blend in a home that has a rustic persona to a present-day façade. Their beauty and classiness can grace any home.
