If you've noticed a charge around $10 on your credit card from WLI*RESERVATIONREWARDS 8007327031 CT, you are a victim of a credit card scam. Learn how to get your money back.
First, total up the amount of money that Reservation Rewards has charged to your credit card. The charge will show up once a month since the time you "signed up" for the plan.
Step2
Call Reservation Rewards at 1 (800) 732-7031. They are available 8am-11pm M-F, 9am-6pm Sat, and 9am-5pm Sun. All times are Eastern Standard Time.
Step3
Tell the person that you never signed up for their service and that you want all of your money back. Tell them the exact amount you expect to be credited to your account. Do not take no for an answer! The company requires its employees to give to a refund, but they may be difficult. Be persistent!
Step4
If they continue to refuse to refund you money, contact your bank. Explain to your bank that your account was wrongfully charged and that your account needs to be refunded. Be firm. Let them know that you never authorized any of the charges.
Step5
If the bank refuses, tell them that you will report them to your state's Banking Commission. (It is different in each state, so you may want to look up this information first.)
Demand the Federal Regulation Form E and tell them they must reverse the charge. You can tell them to mail or fax this to you.
Demand to talk to the manager of all the branches in the area--if you are not getting results, work your way up the chain of command.
Step6
Whether Reservation Rewards or your bank refunds your money, check to make sure you actually get it. If you have online banking, this should be easy.
Tips & Warnings
Reservation Rewards works by popping up when you are shopping online and saying that you are being given a rebate. They mimic the website you are already on, so it can be confusing. Once you click on the popup, they take your credit card information from the company. So be careful when shopping online!
Do not give up until you have your money back. This is illegal!
