A move that is usually overlooked in jiu-jitsu but simple to pull off because not too many people know how to defend it

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Some understanding of jiu-jitsu, a training partner, ample floor space to practice.
  1. Step 1

While on your opponents back, with your legs wrapped around their mid-section, isolate whatever arm you wish to armbar by putting your same side arm underneath that arm, and grab your opposite side collar.

  2. Step 2

Slowly shift your weight toward that arm so that your head is inline with your opponents extended arm, perpendicular with his body.

  3. Step 3

Unwrap your opposite side leg of whichever arm is isolated and put over their head while pushing down on their head.

  4. Step 4

Now your opponents arm should be between your legs with both legs over their body, pinch your knees tightly, point their thumb upward, and pull back extending the arm back, if done correctly your opponent will tap quickly.

Tips & Warnings
  • Take each step slowly and have a patient training partner.
  • Be very careful to not hurt your partner while performing this move
