How to Keep Mice out of Your Home

If you would like to avoid having to deal with a mouse infestation, follow these steps. An ounce of prevention is worth ten pounds of cure in this situation.

Instructions

1. Keep all areas in your home tidy. Unkempt areas give mice plenty of spaces to hide and nest. If your entire house is cluttered, your entire house can be a breeding ground for mice.

2. Keep your kitchen very clean. Keep all food in sealed containers and keep crumbs off of the counters and floors. Empty your trashcans often.

3. If you eat in areas other than then kitchen, be sure to keep them well vacuumed so that mice are not attracted to crumbs in those areas.

4. On the outside of your home, be sure all possible entrance points are well sealed.

5. Keep garbage cans a good distance from your home.

6. Do not pile wood near the exterior of your home.
