Cramming right before finals or midterm week? Here's a snippet for reducing or alleviating that stress when studying for an excruciating exam. This always works for me, so it can't hurt for you to try. Good luck!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • One whole Avocado
  • Bite-size DARK chocolates
  • Headphones/Soundproof Earmuffs
  • Two small tangerines or an orange
  • One teabag of [herbal] Orange Spice - ADD NO SUGAR!
  • One other friend
Step1
ONE WHOLE AVOCADO:

This is to help you relax and stay focused on one thing. The magnesium in avocadoes is strong enough to fight irritability and fidgets.

BITE-SIZE DARK CHOCOLATES:

Not only are dark cacaos good for the heart, they're also good for studying because of their bitter-sweet taste. The bitterness helps you stay awake and your mouth busy, instead of your scattered thoughts and other physical idiosyncrasies.

HEADPHONE/Earphones or Soundproof EARMUFFS:

This is especially imperative when in concentration mode, because it'll help you tune out the noise surrounding you. Also, with nice and peaceful, soothing music - and ONLY THAT to listen to - the air for studying seems a bit more tolerable.

TWO SMALL TANGERINES or AN ORANGE:

You cannot go wrong with cytrus. The juice and acidic taste will keep you grounded and far from wandering off to another room. The natural sweetness and squirts will simply keep you up at night!

ONE TEABAG OF [herbal] ORANGE SPICE:

Without adding sugar, please consume this type of tea because its effects are healthier than coffee. This particular tea doesn't have the caffeine that gets you addicted and/or keeps you "artificially" awake at night. Its herbal smell and bland taste (no sugar added) will help you cope through hours of mental labor, not to mention - it'll keep you satiated and you'll find yourself not nibbling on snacks every hour.

A FRIEND: (Always comes handy)

It's always smart to study with a friend, because you're never far from asking for a little favor - i.e. a massage break for every time your body aches from sitting in the same position for a very long time :) Everybody needs a quick massage or stretch for every hour of studying. That'll help keep you driven and away from hitting the sack just yet. Godspeed!
