If you are hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner, you probably all ready thought about how you want to decorate your dining room, living room and maybe even your front porch for this wonderful day and for the fall season in general. But did you remember to decorate your bathroom.

You know that guests will always have to visit your bathroom. For this reason alone, you should not forget to decorate this room a little bit, too. It just further adds to the festive feeling that you are creating.

When you start planning your decorations for the bathroom, remember you don't have to shop at expensive stores. Most cities have a generous supply of dollar stores anymore. These stores are great at carrying all seasonal and holiday items, including items used for decorating. Make sure you begin shopping at these stores first, to help save money.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hand towels and wash clothes with a fall design
  • Soaps in darker shades than usual and possibly even in scents that will play up your cooking such as ginger, sandalwood, etc.
  • Darker shades of floor rugs
  • A small basket filled with scented pine cones and dried leaves
  • Candles scented in fall scents
  • A vase filled with fall flowers
  • A soap dish and matching soap dispenser in fall designs
  1. Step 1

    Take a good look at your bathroom and decide what types of items you can use. Then make a list.

    You can start with items such as:

    Hand towels and wash clothes with a fall design
    Soaps in darker shades than usual and possibly even in scents that will play up your cooking such as ginger, sandalwood, etc.
    Darker shades of floor rugs
    A small basket filled with scented pine cones and dried leaves
    Candles scented in fall scents
    A vase filled with fall flowers
    A soap dish and matching soap dispenser in fall designs

  2. Step 2

    Go shopping for the items you need. (Remember those dollar stores)

  3. Step 3

    Clean the bathroom thoroughly. Now place the new decorative items in their rightful spots.

  4. Step 4

    Finish by spraying the room with an aerosol spray that has a fall scent to it (pine, cinnamon, etc). Keep the aerosol spray handy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Think small. You don't want to overwhelm the look of the bathroom.
  • Shop at Dollar stores to save money and for additional variety choices.
  • Don't forget to clean the bathroom.
  • Finish off with by spraying room with a nice smelling disinfectent.
