You can purchase products in the store or online to make your own makeup foundation, which ensures you know what it is contains and are able to match the color to your skin tone. You can purchase all the ingredients you need in either health food stores or through do-it-yourself cosmetics companies online.

    Things You'll Need

    • 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel (non-thickened)
    • 2/3 cup of jojoba oil
    • 1/2 tsp. soy wax blend
    • 1/2 tsp. beeswax
    • 2 tbsp. skin care complex
    • 2 tbsp. rosewater
    • 2 tbsp. concealer powder base - any brand name
    • 1/2 tsp. natural color base - any brand name
    • 10 drops of essential oil (optional)

        Place 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel (non-thickened), 2/3 cup of jojoba oil, 1/2 teaspoon soy wax blend and 1/2 teaspoon beeswax in a small saucepan. Heat the mixture on low heat, melting the wax and stirring the lotion with a spoon.

        Remove the saucepan from the heat and add two tablespoons of the skin care complex, two tablespoons rosewater, two tablespoons concealer powder base and 1/2 teaspoon natural color base.

        Stir the mixture well until it is creamy. Add the essential oils and stir to mix. Allow the mixture to cool.

        Spoon the mixture into a clear, dry container. It should last six months in a cool, dry place, or one year in the refrigerator.

    • Add more color base for a deeper shade.
