What is a Deep Fry Party? Not for the health conscious, but fun for all ages. Invite Friends and Family over for a Pot Luck meal like no other. Be sure to bring your favorite Food along and your appetite.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Commercial Deep Fryer or large Cast Iron Outdoor Cooking Kettle.
  • Invitations or Personal Invites.
  • Variety of Food for Frying.
  • Cooking Utensils.
  • Beverage of choice.
  • Plates and Tableware.
  • Serving Table and Serving Plates.
  • Appetite.

Step1
Deep Fried Twinkies are Scrumptious! Invite Guests to bring their favorite food that they want to eat and also one food item to share. Everything will be fried from Fish and Chicken, to Broccoli and Twinkies.
Step2
Commercial grade Deep Fryers like this one work perfect! Fire up the Iron Kettle or Deep Fryer as guests start to arrive. Be sure to fill with cooking oil, preferably Peanut Oil but Vegetable Oil would be fine to keep things safe with those who can't consume Peanut Products.
Step3
Deep Fried Onion Rings should be made last. Try to keep food items with strong odors and tastes to be fried at the end, such as Fish and Onion Rings. In this case it is a good idea to serve Deserts such as Fried Twinkies first.
Step4
A simple Rolling Table can be used to hold food and cooking utensils. Set up a serving table to work off from and to aid in distributing food items.
Step5
Fried Broccoli Bites! The important key is to eat right away at this Pot Luck Party. Fill up your plate and try something different that you may have never tried before.

Tips & Warnings

  • Serve the food immediately after cooking to assure crispness and flavor.
  • Encourage guests to try a variety of foods they haven't ever tried before fried.
  • If possible have a Professional operate the hot Kettle or Deep Fryer.
  • The oil can get hot, use care when transferring and frying foods.
  • Keep a fire extinguisher handy.
  • This isn't a pot luck you want to have every month, the calorie count and fat content is high.

on 2/21/2008 Expand the menu and make this a guilty pleasures party...add a chinese food buffet, some tang, ovaltine, and a few other random things you know no one would want to confess to loving!

on 2/14/2008 Deep fried twinkies? Just put some concrete in my veins right now. (But I really want to try them.)
