How to Produce a TV Talk Show

Producing a television talk show can be quite challenging, especially if you are not a celebrity, or a very talkative person, but if you are a people person, and can easily engage others in conversation, you are well on your way.

• a producing contract with a televsion network
• people to invite onto the talk show
• a wholesome personality
• an environment for filming the talk show
• an available audience to invite to watch

1. First decide whether or not you have a budget to work with, if not you will need to find sponsors who are willing to contribute money in the producing of the show.
2. Think about the kind of talk show you want to produce and what information you can present. The more interesting your topics are, the more audience you will receive to watch your show.
3. Decide where you will film the talk show. Atmosphere can be crucial, and the more inviting appeal it gives, the more readily a guest will engage in conversation.
4. Once you have determined your location, decide what guests to invite. Do you want to invite celebrities, politicians, common people, etc.?
5. Once you have a guest panel, decide what topics to discuss.
6. Smile! Always be inviting to your guest. A more energetic personality will make the guest feel at ease and willing to engage in conversation.

• Be persistent if producing a talk show is your dream, do not give up.
• Not everyone will be able to find a network willing to broadcast his or her talk show, when all else fails, take initiative into your own hands, and hire the help.
