If you've always wanted to find ways to help and inspire people, and you're not sure how--there's hope. Sometimes, the best ways to inspire and help people are through words. During times of hardship, poetry can play a key role in uplifting one's spirits. Inspiring and helping people through your words not only helps the person you're writing to, but it also helps you feel good in the inside.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Look and write about topics that suits the needs of the person you're directing the poem to. For example, if he or she has just gone through a tough relationship, you may write so he or she can find solace in your writing.
Step2
Write poetry on special occasions such as anniversaries, weddings, funerals, and birthdays. Writing for such occasions can help brighten his or her day.
Step3
Write poetry for charities around the globe. There are many charities that are in need of inspiration and help. Contact them and start writing.
Step4
Try writing for you local church or other chruches. People who attend church always need uplifting poems to encourage their everyday life.
Step5
Volunteer to write poetry for local schools. As young adults, teenagers have it rough in today's society. Anything that will inspire them to stay in school, will be worth writing about.
Step6
Finally, try to seek out ways to help the disabled children. Whether it be at hospitals or rehabilitative centers, children will be happy to see you--and happy to hear your poetry. You may want to turn poetry into a song for them.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make sure you direct your poetry appropriately.
  • It would be a good idea to contact hospitals, schools and rehabilitative centers before arriving.
  • Be sensitive when writing.
  • Do everything out of love and from your heart. Don't expect anything in return when you write to help people.

Thanks for your comments. I love to write romantic and inspirational words as well. It seems as if you have already made it big. I'm stil trying to get to that point. I'm currenly trying to write for greeting card companies, but I'm not as successful as I would like to be. I'm also in the process getting my songs out in the market. I know it's very competitive, but this is my dream and my passion.

THINKING OF YOU TODAY
By Bernard Levine

I am thinking of you today
and I want you to know
that no matter what your situation is
God’s help is so mighty
Keep your eyes on His awesome power
and your heart focused on His never-ending love
Ask God to open the door that is closed
to make the way clear for you
His strength is beyond our understanding
His ways are so miraculous and complete
God deeply loves you
And your victory is just around the corner!
