Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Take a hard look at your wicker carriage. Is it fraying or is the carriage compartment solid and in good shape? Are there cushions on the seat, and are they in excellent condition? If the seat is a flat seat with no cushion, are there holes or tearing in the seat? When reselling privately or at auction, these are points that would add or remove value from your carriage.
Step2
What size is your carriage? A draft sized carriage will sell for more than a pony sized carriage.
Step3
What condition are the wheels and shafts in? Are the shafts peeling or splintering? Are they loose or solid to the vehicle? Are the wheels squeaking? Are the spokes securely fitted into each wheel?
Step4
If your carriage is in great shape overall, and it's a horse sized carriage with one bench seat fitting two people, you might get anywhere from $800-2500 for it. If it's a restored antique, you might get more.
Your best bet is to attend carriage auctions in your area and see what similar vehicles are selling for in the current market.
